Each growth phase of this stunning large leaf Rhododendron species is carved in detail on this large vessel. Emerging bud, opening bud and fully flowering, also included the fascinating development of the seed capsules bursting open to reveal the tiny seeds.

The carved vegetable tanned leather is oiled and dyed to enhance the beautiful character of the leather, slowly hand stitched and braided using waxed linen thread, lined in olive suede and the edges hand burnished with beeswax.
